Why Does It Sometime Seem As If God Is Quiet In Our Lives?

Primarily because we don't hear Him. God is always available to us but many times we're too busy listening to other things. So when we petition Him, we should give our undivided attention so that we receive what He has for us. Because He will answer. We must listen regardless of what He says. Sometimes we just don't want to hear what He gives.

I'm one that believes that God is always speaking and it's up to us and others around us to hear it and see it. If you're around people that don't have a relationship with God, God can still speak through them, but it's better if you're surrounded by folks that do have a relationship with Him because He has only come for those that are lost. Although Elihu turned out to be a fraud, his words to Job in Job 33:14-23 were what I believe without the fraudulence.
